Pune: A five-year-old boy died after a reversing car hit him on the premises of Joy Nest Society in Lonikalbhor around 5pm on Monday.According to Lonikalbhor police, the boy, Nikash Reddy, was playing with a bicycle on the society premises when a car arrived. Its driver, a resident of Mundhwa Road, dropped his friend in front of a building in the society and started reversing the car.
The police said, “The car hit the boy while it was being reversed. Nikash was found beneath the rear wheel of the four-wheeler.”The car driver rushed the boy to a nearby private hospital, where the doctors pronounced him dead. The boy’s father (40) lodged a complaint against the car driver for rash and negligent driving, and causing death due to negligence.
