Patna: The Patna district administration has deployed 66 magistrates and police officers across 44 locations on Tuesday for Saraswati Puja. District magistrate Thiyagarajan SM and SSP Kartikeya K Sharma instructed officials to focus on crowd management, law and order, and traffic control. Sub-divisional officers may appoint additional personnel as needed.Drone and CCTV surveillance were arranged to monitor public activity, with quick response and medical teams stationed at key points. All puja committees have been asked to obtain licences, and idol installations or processions without permits have been prohibited. Immersions must follow traditional routes under magisterial supervision, with videography.

A ban on DJs has enforced. In line with Bihar Idol Immersion Procession Rules 2021, idol immersions are allowed only in artificial ponds created by urban local bodies; boats also require prior permission.Police have been directed to monitor hostels, lodges, and hotels. District control rooms will operate round the clock, and supporting departments, including PESU and the fire brigade, will provide power and emergency services throughout the festival.
