Bettiah: Bagaha police in West Champaran arrested two liquor smugglers, Nagendra Bin and Ramvriksha Bin, from Naurangiya village and seized an illegal single-barrel gun. Police said the accused had earlier opened fire while smuggling 1,200 litres of raw liquor and 150 litres of country-made liquor on Jan 18, leading to the registration of Case No. 03/26. Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted them near Naurangiya Chhath Ghat early Wednesday. Another accused, Naval Bin, is absconding, and raids are underway to arrest him, said Bagaha SP Ramanand Kaushal.
