Driver held after canter rams Jaguar in Noida, kills student

Noida: Driver of a canter truck, accused of ramming into a Jaguar car on Bhangel Elevated Road, was arrested Wednesday after the accident led to the death of a 19-year-old student. According to police, four students were travelling in the Jaguar when the canter, with Viresh Singh at the wheel, hit the car. All four sustained serious injuries and were rushed to hospitals in Delhi. One of them, Falak Ahmad (19), later died during treatment, prompting police to add charges relating to causing death.The three other students — Ansh (19), Ayush Bhati (17) and Neel Panwar (18) — continue to be under treatment, but are out of danger.Additional DCP Shavya Goyal said preliminary inquiries indicate that the students were returning home after studying at a library when the crash occurred. The impact left the luxury car badly damaged, underlining the severity of the collision.
