Varanasi: The National Service Scheme Unit at the department of Dairy Science and Food Technology, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, BHU, organised the Vikasit Bharat Yuva Connect programme under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports on Monday.Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports launched the Vikasit Bharat Yuva Connect programme keeping the vision of Vikasit Bharat 2047 in mind. The objective of this initiative is to connect the youth and ensure their contribution to the mission of Vikasit Bharat 2047. The initiative aims to empower the youth by integrating them into policy-making, public representatives, social infrastructure, and the My Bharat portal.

Priyansh Bhardwaj, nominated by the govt for the mission, participated in the event as the keynote speaker. He detailed the govt’s roadmap for Vikasit Bharat for the youth. The five vows set by the govt include a developed India, an end to the mindset of slavery, pride in heritage, unity in diversity, and the fulfilment of duties.The pillars of a developed India were identified as the engine of development, sustainable development, social sector reforms, self-reliant India, strong India, and global reputation. These include digitalisation, strong India, technological development, and empowering women’s leadership. A special discussion was also held on the importance of Vande Mataram in context of civilisational empowerment.
