Winter chill dips slightly in Ahmedabad with minimum temperature at 13.3°C on January 20

Ahmedabad: The city experienced a marginal dip in early morning temperatures on Tuesday, though the overall weather remains warmer than the seasonal average. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ahmedabad recorded a minimum temperature of 13.3°C, which is 1.4 degrees higher than the usual temperature for this time of January. This figure marks a slight decrease from Monday’s minimum of 14.1°C, offering a subtle hint of winter chill before the sun rises.The daytime conditions followed a similar trend of mild warmth. The maximum temperature reached 29.1°C, staying 1.5 degrees above the normal mark, resulting in clear, sunny skies and pleasant afternoons for commuters.Looking ahead, the IMD forecast suggests that the city’s minimum temperature will likely hover around 14°C over the next 24 hours. Weather officials noted that Gujarat is currently under the influence of northerly to north-easterly winds, which are maintaining a steady climate across the region with no major fluctuations predicted for the coming days.While Ahmedabad stays relatively mild, other parts of Gujarat reported sharper drops. Keshod emerged as the state’s coldest spot at 10.2°C, followed closely by Naliya (10.8°C), Porbandar (11°C), and Kandla (11.4°C).
