Keonjhar: Keonjhar forest personnel arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in illegal mining activities, on Tuesday. A pick-up van was seized and one illegal manganese lump crusher plant was sealed at Kasia village under Bhadrasahi beat in Guali section during the operation. The arrested persons are Mohammad Rafik, (48) of Roida and Nirmal Naik (47) of Joda. Around 80 tonnes of manganese ore worth Rs 12 lakh were seized, said DFO Dhanraj HD.
