Missing saroops: BJP flays AAP govt, party leaders to pay obeisance at Banga gurdwara

Chandigarh: Members of the Punjab BJP’s core committee, party’s former MPs and MLAs, and senior leaders, under the stewardship of Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar and working president Ashwani Sharma, will pay obeisance at Rasokhana Shri Nabh Kanwal Raja Sahib Gurdwara in Banga on Jan 22, an official spokesperson of the Punjab BJP said here on Monday. The BJP also levelled serious allegations against the Aam Aadmi Party govt for “playing open politics with the sentiments of the Sikh sangat over the issue of the recovery of 169 saroops”.“While the govt is making false claims of recovery, the managing committee (of the gurdwara) has already placed the entire truth on record, and even after that, neither the govt nor the inquiry committee issued any clarification,” said a BJP spokesperson.“This matter is linked with religious faith, but the AAP govt is using it for political gain. Until there is a complete investigation, documentary clarity, and accountability in the case of the 169 saroops, the govt’s claims cannot be trusted,” the spokesperson added. The Punjab BJP warned that “if the govt does not come out with the truth on this serious issue related to the saroops of Guru Sahib, the party will intensify its struggle, from the streets to the (legislative) assembly”.MSID:: 126687034 413 |
