Rajasthan youth performs dangerous stunt atop 282 ft tower, video goes viral

Hisar: A young man from Rajasthan performed a dangerous stunt without any safety equipment atop the 282-foot-high Jindal Tower near the Hisar municipal corporation on Sunday, triggering concern among the authorities. The incident was captured on video and later went viral on social media.According to officials, the youth managed to reach the outer edge of the tower, beyond the security boundary, carrying two beer bottles and a can in his bag. He placed the bottles on the outer surface and began performing risky stunts, including standing on his head. He then hung from the structure using only his hands, lifting his legs above his head, and later suspended himself upside down by hooking his feet on the outer surface of the tower. After the stunt, tower staff apprehended the youth and handed him over to the Dial-112 police team. Tower operator Kuldeep Singh said the youth admitted his mistake, apologised to the police, and gave an assurance that he would not repeat such an act in the future. Considering this, the police released him after counselling. Jindal Tower, a prominent landmark of Hisar, was built in memory of renowned industrialist and former minister OP Jindal. Dedicated to the nation in November 2005, the high-tech monument stands about 90 metres tall and offers a panoramic view of the city. The tower complex also houses a museum, a children’s centre, and a garden. Caption of photo: A young man performing a dangerous stunt atop Jindal Tower MSID:: 126686846 413 |
