Bengaluru firm bags Rs 100-cr defence electronics order

Bengaluru: City-based Axiscades Technologies has secured a Rs 100-crore defence electronics order, with its subsidiary Mistral Solutions set to supply critical signal and data processing units over the next two years. The order, placed as part of the low-level transportable radar (LLTR) Ashwini programme being developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), is for the supply of signal and data processing units (SDPUs) and spares. Deliveries are scheduled over a two-year period, providing the company with medium-term revenue visibility.LLTR Ashwini is a mobile, low-level surveillance radar designed to detect and track aerial threats, including unmanned aerial vehicles, helicopters, and low-flying fighter aircraft. “Mistral’s SDPUs will form a critical subsystem within the radar, handling high-speed signal and data processing under demanding operational conditions,” Axiscades said in a statement.According to the company, the contract includes liquid-cooled processing units built to operate in extreme environments. Axiscades said the order strengthens its embedded systems portfolio, which typically commands higher margins than traditional engineering services. The company added that the win positions Mistral to tap into a larger pipeline of indigenous defence electronics programmes led by DRDO and BEL, as India continues to push for self-reliance in critical military technologies.C Manikandan, CEO, Mistral Solutions, said the order underscored the firm’s role in supporting defence indigenisation and contributing core technologies to next-generation military systems.
