Lucknow: Virtually interacting with over two lakh beneficiaries across Uttar Pradesh while transferring the first installment of funds under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath advised them as a guardian to use housing funds exclusively for construction, give due importance to their children’s education, and fully avail govt welfare schemes.A govt spokesperson said the CM’s sensitivity and warmth during the interaction made the programme both emotional and inspiring.
A beneficiary, Madhuri Devi from Varanasi, shared her joy about her family’s transition from living in a dilapidated house to owning a permanent, concrete house. The CM advised her to use the funds wisely and encouraged her to write a thank-you letter to the PM.Expressing gratitude to PM Modi and CM Yogi, Ramavati Devi from Ayodhya said that her long held aspiration of a pucca house was fulfilled. Poonam Chaudhary from Aligarh said that the Modi-Yogi govt had realized her dream after years of anticipation.Hiralal, representing the Tharu community in Lakhimpur Kheri, acknowledged the benefits his community has received through various welfare programs. The CM also distributed housing approval letters to several beneficiaries from various districts.
