City observes Booth Day for voter revision | Kanpur News

Kanpur: Active Booth Day was observed in Kanpur Nagar on Sunday under SIR, during which alert citizens checked their names in the published draft of the electoral list and took necessary steps to get their names listed in the final electoral list.District magistrate and district election officer Jitendra Pratap Singh visited several booths at VSSD College, Jugal Devi Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Deen Dayal Nagar and CSA University, interacted with BLOs and civilians present there, and redressed their problems.During the inspection, BLO Upasana Singh was found absent at a booth at Jugal Devi Saraswati Vidya Mandir, following which the DM directed departmental action against the BLO.
