Lucknow: The state govt will be rolling out the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel employment and industrial zone programme to link employment with industrial development in Uttar Pradesh.Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed a detailed action plan for the implementation of this scheme on Friday. The CM said that these zones were being developed in each district and should function as integrated industrial and employment ecosystems, where industries, training and services will be made available in the same complex. In addition to the establishment of industries, connecting youth with training, placement and entrepreneurship was the core objective of this project, he said.Under the scheme, zones will be developed in a minimum area of 50 acres. Each centre will be established in a G+3 building, which will function as an employment, training and common facility.The employment and skill development centres will include display zones for ODOP products, training halls, meeting facilities, the district industries centre, the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission, the district employment office, the common service centre and banking facilities. The design of the industrial zone will be based on a plug-and-play model to provide immediate operational facilities to MSME service and manufacturing sector industries.The CM said that skilling, handholding and placement services should be mandatorily linked with the zone. Youth should be linked with jobs through training programmes, skill upgradation, job fairs, entrepreneurship training and mentoring.The project will be implemented in coordination with ODOP, MSME and skill development schemes, he added.
