E-rickshaw driver ends life after killing wife | Kanpur News

Kanpur: An e-rickshaw driver killed his wife and ended his life in Naunihal Ganj of Bangarmau in Unnao following daily disputes on Wednesday morning. The bodies were sent for postmortem , police said.According to the police, the man strangled his wife to death and then hanged himself from a hook on wall behind the house using a rope. Hearing screams, Sanjay’s mother rushed to the spot and found both dead.Sanjay Gupta (42), a resident of the Naunihal Ganj locality under Bangarmau police station lived with his wife Vandana (38) and mother. He worked as an e-rickshaw driver and was addicted to alcohol.After having liquor, he used to beat his wife for talking too much on phone. According to Sanjay’s mother, Siya Dulari, the couple had a fight on Wednesday evening too after which Sanjay strangled Vandana to death before ending his life.Circle Officer Santosh Singh and SO Akhilesh Pandey reached the spot and conducted an investigation.
