Kanpur: On the occasion of National Youth Day (Jan 12), Police Commissioner Kanpur Nagar Raghubir Lal paid floral tributes by garlanding the statue of Swami Vivekananda at Motijheel.A programme on ‘Youth Consciousness-2026: Alert Thinking, Secure Future’ was also organised at Lajpat Bhawan, Motijheel. ADG (Police) Alok Singh and Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal participated as chief guests in the programme.

Addressing the event, ADGP Alok Singh said that Swami Vivekanand’s thoughts are a source of inspiration for today’s youth. He said that in the current digital age, caution is the mantra of security, and check over cybercrimes is possible only through consciousness. Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal said that youth’s role in preventing cybercrimes is extremely important and appealed for awareness with the resolve of ‘Alert Youth, Secure India.‘ A team of women police personnel presented a street play. The programme was chaired by president of Swami Vivekananda Youth Committee Vikas Singh Bhole. tnn
