Patna: Chairman of the seventh State Finance Commission (SFC) Ashok Kumar Chaudhary on Monday appealed to people across the state to submit their suggestions on financial matters to the commission through its official website to help frame broad-based recommendations for the govt.Chaudhary, along with commission member Anil Kumar and former head of the economics department at Patna University, launched the commission’s official website—7thsfc.bihar.gov.in—at the finance department auditorium in Gardanibagh.Addressing the gathering, Chaudhary said the seventh SFC would review the financial position of panchayats and urban local bodies and submit its report to the state govt along with recommendations.“The commission will assess the estimated receipts and expenditures of panchayats and urban local bodies and suggest necessary financial reforms to strengthen them,” he said.
