GRP has got a big success at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction of Uttar Pradesh. The team of GRP Varanasi Circle has arrested a vicious thief who used to steal the mobile phones of the people traveling in trains very cleverly. The accused has been identified as Sajan Sheikh, a resident of Malda, West Bengal, from which the police searched the bag, 61 expensive smartphones came out from inside – including many iPhones. The estimated price of the recovered mobile has been stated to be around 20 lakh rupees.
After the arrest, when the police searched his bike and bag, the soldiers were also surprised. Seeing a large amount of mobile phones, it became clear that the accused is part of an organized gang. During interrogation, Sajan confessed his crime and told that he does not do this work alone, but is part of a network that sends these stolen phones to the border. At present, the police has sent the accused to jail and now the investigation has been intensified to highlight his entire network.
