60-yr-old rescued from LPG leak in Dilsukhnagar

Hyderabad: A 60-year-old man was rescued by fire department personnel on Saturday after he allegedly locked himself inside the kitchen, causing an LPG leak at a residential building in Dilsukhnagar.The incident occurred at Raghunath Estates, P&T Colony. According to officials, the man, identified as GVD Sheshagiri Rao, confined himself to the kitchen on the third floor of the G+4 storey building, creating a hazardous situation.

On receiving the alert, personnel from the Malakpet fire station rushed to the scene and launched a rescue operation. As a precaution, firefighters sprayed water into the kitchen through an open window and engaged the man in conversation to calm him.The team later forced open the kitchen door and safely rescued him, taking all necessary measures to minimise any risk of fire. Alongside fire department personnel, teams from DRF, HYDRAA and the local police also assisted in the rescue efforts.
