New Delhi: Police said on Thursday that they caught five minors for allegedly stabbing a 27-year-old man at the gate of Shastri Nagar Metro station on Monday during the incident. “The accused were identified and apprehended within a few hours of the incident during a targeted operation conducted in the Shastri Nagar area,” said DCP (metro) Kushal Pal Singh.
The stabbing happened at gate no. 1 of the station, which opens to a bridge connecting multiple entry and exit points leading to Subhadra Colony, Sarai Rohilla, Vivekanand Puri and the Daya Basti railway station. According to police, the fight between the man and the minors was reported on Monday to the Netaji Subhash Place metro police station. The man suffered multiple stab injuries. He was taken to Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital by his brother-in-law, where he was got initial medical treatment. He was referred to RML Hospital for surgery and advanced medical care, police said. tnn
