4-wheeler hits college student at Manekbaug

Ahmedabad: A 20-year-old college student, identified as Vidhi Shah, suffered head injuries after she was allegedly knocked off her scooter by a four-wheeler at Manekbaug Crossroads earlier this week. Her father, Mitesh, filed a complaint with M Division Traffic police station on Saturday. In his complaint, the Vasna resident told police the incident took place around 7.45am on Feb 16 when Vidhi was on her way to college at Gujarat University.

By the time he reached the spot, an EMRI 108 ambulance had already arrived on the spot. Vidhi was taken to Jivraj Mehta Hospital where doctors stitched up her wound and advised follow-up. The father said that a speeding four-wheeler coming from Shyamal Crossroads side hit her scooter. As the vehicle number and identity of the driver were not known at the time, no immediate police complaint was filed. A formal complaint has now been registered. TNN
