Agartala: The 3rd Regional Dialogue under NITI Aayog’s State Support Mission will be held in Agartala on Tuesday. The event is being jointly organised by the Tripura govt and the Tripura Institution for Transformation (TIFT).The dialogue will bring together senior officers from 14 eastern and northeastern states for discussions on cooperative federalism, governance best practices and strategies for state-led socio-economic transformation.Officials said the dialogue aims to strengthen inter-state collaboration and enable the exchange of innovative policy approaches tailored to regional priorities. Key sessions will focus on strengthening institutional capacities, speeding up development outcomes and aligning state initiatives with national development goals, said secretary good governance Kiran Gitte.Participants are expected to share successful models, flag implementation challenges and identify opportunities for joint action across states. NITI Aayog’s State Support Mission seeks to provide targeted policy and technical assistance to states to build a more responsive and inclusive development ecosystem, he said.By holding the event in Agartala, NITI Aayog is underscoring the growing role of the northeast in India’s development narrative and its focus on decentralized and participatory governance, Gitte added.The dialogue’s outcomes are expected to inform future policy interventions and strengthen Centre-State partnerships.
