Kanpur: As many as 242 out of 435 girl students were shortlisted for jobs offering salaries of Rs 10,000-Rs 25,000 per month at a one-day job fair held at the DG Girls PG College, Civil Lines, here on Tuesday.Appointment letters were also distributed to the short-listed girls. Around 435 girl students appeared for interviews and 242 of them were selected.Raj Ratan Sarees, Central Bank, General Life Insurance, Pukhraj Health Care, Shriram Finance Group, ASD World Group Ltd, Eduvantage Pvt Ltd, Katyayani Plastic Industries Pvt Ltd, SBI Life Insurance, Independent Youth Logistics and other companies participated in the job fair.The programme was inaugurated by joint secretary Anant Swaroop and assistant employment officer Himanshu Yadav by garlanding the statue of goddess Saraswati and lighting a lamp.The joint secretary, while congratulating the students, said that skill development was the key to success in this competitive world. He urged the students to hone their personality and communication skills.
