Prayagraj: The North Central Railway (NCR) has finalised an extensive operational plan to ensure smooth travel across major rail corridors during Holi. To meet the festive demand, a total of 204 trips by special trains have been notified to operate through the NCR network, connecting key destinations across the country.Of these, NCR will operate five pairs of special trains under its primary jurisdiction, accounting for 36 trips.
These special services will originate from key stations within the NCR region to facilitate travel to major destinations such as Mumbai, Pune, and several parts of southern India. The services will run as per their respective timetables from February 15 to March 31, covering the entire peak travel period around Holi.The originating festival special trains include Prayagraj–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Subedarganj–Charlapalli, VGL Jhansi–Pune, VGL Jhansi–Hadapsar, and Kanpur Central–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus. These routes have been selected keeping in view the high seasonal demand from passengers travelling to the western and southern regions of the country. Overall, the 204 notified trips will traverse the NCR network. Tickets for the Holi festival special trains are available through the IRCTC platform.tnn
