Hyderabad: Two Nepali nationals were arrested by Jubilee Hills police for their alleged involvement in a theft at their employer;s residence on the night of Feb 5. Police said that the prime accused, Jiban Chand, is still at large.According to police, Jiban Chand had arranged for one of his associates to take up work as a maid at the victim’s house in Nandagiri Hills, Jubilee Hills. “While the homeowner and his family were away, the maid facilitated the entry of two of the accused into the house. The accused administered a sedative to the other staff members before stealing gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 1.3 crore,” police said.Based on information gathered about the suspects, police traced and intercepted Bhupender Shahi, 22, and Krishna Chand, 23, at the Indo-Nepal border.Jubilee Hills police shared photographs of the suspects with the paramilitary force stationed at the border.
