Hyderabad: The state govt on Saturday reshuffled 20 police officers, including 15 IPS officers, most of whom were of superintendent of police rank. With the reorganisation of the tri-commissionerates, the traffic wings in all four commissionerates have been strengthened. As per the transfer order, joint commissioner of police (Traffic) Gajarao Bhupal has been posted as inspector general of police (provisioning & logistics). The 2011-batch officer, Abhishek Mohanty, currently deputy inspector general of police in EAGLE, has been transferred and posted as deputy inspector general of police (vigilance & enforcement). Counter Intelligence superintendent of police R Bhaskaran has been promoted to DIG rank and retained in the CI cell. Superintendent of police (SP) (railways) Chandana Deepthi has been transferred and posted as additional CP (administration & traffic) of Future City commissionerate.T Annapurna, superintendent of police (vigilance & enforcement), has been transferred and posted as deputy commissioner of police (administration), Cyberabad police. BK Rahul Hegde, DCP (traffic), has been transferred and posted in the restructured zone as DCP (traffic-III), covering Charminar, Rajendranagar, and Shamshabad zones.Hyderabad’s DCP (special branch) K Apoorva Rao has been transferred and posted as SP (Intelligence), Hyderabad. With the East Zone of Hyderabad police being abolished due to the reorganisation of commissionerates, DCP (East Zone) B Bala Swamy, who was awaiting posting, has been transferred and posted as SP (Vigilance & Enforcement). R Venkateshwarlu, former DCP (traffic-III), has been transferred and posted as SP (CID). Previously, Venkateshwarlu had served in the city’s traffic division before being in CID; with the latest changes, he returns to CID.DCP (South-East) S Chaitanya Kumar, who had been on leave for nearly two months due to health reasons, has been transferred and posted as DCP (crimes), Hyderabad commissionerate. Earlier, during his tenure as DCP (South-East), he was involved in opening fire at two property offenders. Bhadradri-Kothagudem district’s additional superintendent of police (Operations) Avinash Kumar has been transferred and posted as Hyderabad’s DCP (traffic-I), with new jurisdictions covering Khairatabad and Secunderabad.Additional SP Kajal (Utnoor) has been transferred and posted as DCP (traffic-II), covering Golconda and Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad City.Jagtial additional SP (administration) S Sheshadrini Reddy has been transferred and posted as Cyberabad’s DCP (traffic-II), including the areas of Kukatpally and Qutubullapur.
