Rajnagar : A 10 -foot -long crocodile was rescued from a pond on Friday in Pentha village of Rajnagar block of Kendrapara district of Odisha. According to the report, the said crocodile entered the pond a few days ago in search of fish. Pentha’s villagers were scared to see crocodiles in the pond water. The villagers informed the forest department to catch the crocodile and today a special team of the forest department visited the village and started a campaign to catch the huge crocodile. After nearly two hours of hard work, the forest workers succeeded in catching the crocodile. On the other hand, the villagers have demanded compensation for the loss of fish, as the crocodile entered the pond and ate the fish.
